Matthijs Leusen
Matthijs Leusen is a PhD candidate at the University of Groningen (RUG) Faculty of Economics and Business. He has an interdisciplinary background in economics and public administration, holding a MSc in Economics and Governance (Leiden University). His current research focuses on the effectiveness of international sanctions. He aims to examine both the economic effects and the political outcomes of this foreign policy tool, as well as the mechanism that links the two.
